Sunday 16 July was a clear, bright day and ideal for a walk up to Llyn Elsi,
the lake which supplies Betws y Coed with its drinking supply. As you can see
from our pictures there was cloud at around the 900 metre height.
Moel Siabod
was clear, as was Tryfan from time to time, although the peaks of the Glyders
and the Carneddau were shrouded in thick cloud.
We went up by the eastern path and came down along the Jubilee path, which we
are delighted to report has now been diverted at the top to avoid that awful
muddy patch!!
